Red Ribbon Week
This week was Red Ribbon Week at Alexa's school. It is all about saying no to drugs and alcohol. Alexa was so funny when she came home from school on Tuesday. Tuesday was the day that they wore ties to school and the catch phrase that went along with it was, "Don't let drugs "tie" you down." Anyways, so I told that to Alexa and she said "Mommy, I will be so brave tomorrow and I won't let "the drugs" tie me down. I will just say no to "the drugs"." Well, apparently she thought that drugs were people and she had to get right up in their face the next day and so "NO" to them. Ah, the innocence of children. Ya gotta love it!!!

Cornbelly's
Today we went on Grace's preschool field trip to Cornbelly's. It was such a nice day and we had a lot of fun. There were a lot of things there that kept the kids entertained for quite awhile.
The girls had so much fun going on this wagon ride. We took a little ride around the pumpkin patch and at the end we were able to get out and the girls picked their very own pumpkins. It was so fun seeing the ones they picked out.

This little cow train was so fun. The girls looked so cute riding around in their little cow cars.
Rope em' cowgirls!!!

Choo, Choo!!!
And they're off!!!!

I seriously wished I had one of these pillow trampolines in my backyard. I think Alexa and Grace would have been fine with jumping on this the whole time.
What a cutie!!!
We had so much fun today on Grace's field trip. It was such a perfect Fall day and we made so many fun memories!!!

Where Has the Time Gone?
Today our little Emma turned 9 months old!!! She has started to do so many new things. She has started army crawling everywhere in the last couple of months. She can get going pretty fast too. She has had such a fun time roaming around the house and exploring her world. She has made me more aware that I really need to do a better job at sweeping my floor!!!! I have had to REALLY watch this little girl. She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, which I know is pretty much the norm for babies, but Alexa and Grace rarely put things in their mouths. They would just pick things up and examine them. They have always been very inquisitive little girls. Emma also has two teeth now. She got her first one when she was 8 months and the other one at 8 1/2 months. I love my little Emma Lemma and am so grateful for her. She brings me so much joy. Now if I could only slow down time, that would be great. She is growing up way to fast!!!!

Barnyard Boo
Today my friend and I took our kids to the Barnyard Boo. It was a lot of fun. The girls had such a fun time running around and looking at all of the animals.

I thought these two pictures were hilarious. Alexa and Grace are both so disgusted by how stinky the farm animals are.
There were a lot of fun things for the kids to do. They colored cute Halloween cards, frosted pumpkin shaped cookies and the highlight of the day of course was having the clown make them all butterfly wings.

We had such a fun time today and I am so glad that we could enjoy such a wonderful Fall day with great friends!!!

Pinkalicious
Alexa's favorite book right now is called Pinkalicious. It is a really cute book about a girl who eats too many pink cupcakes and turns pink. Alexa reinacts a lot of the stories she reads and the movies she watches, so of course we had to make pink cupcakes today. It wasn't enough to just make the cupcakes, but she had to be in a pink dress and wings just like the girl in the book was. I think I see an acting career in her future.

Cookie Cutters
Today my friend and I took our girls to Cookie Cutters to get haircuts. It is such a fun little place to get the kids haircut. They get to pick out a DVD to watch while their hair is being cut. And while they are waiting, there is a little slide they can play on.

Pumpkinland
Today I went with Alexa on her field trip. We went to Pumpkinland and had a blast!!!!! She has been excited to ride the bus all week!!! It was so much fun meeting some of her friends that she is always talking about. The little group I was in charge of was awesome.
It was so much fun seeing them get excited about all they were seeing. They were so cute when we were going through the Corn Maze, and I must say, it was actually pretty hard to find our way out.
I love this picture of Alexa. It reminds me of a picture I have of her when she was a baby. She has the same facial expression and everything.
I am glad that I was able to go with Alexa today. We had such a fun time!!! I can still remember my mom coming with me on my field trip to the zoo when I was in Kindergarten. She has another field trip in the Spring and I hope I get a call so I can go on that one too!!!

Safety First
Today Gracie went on her first field trip. We went to the Fire Station and had so much fun!!! We went in the afternoon and so the older kids were able to go as well. It was so much fun getting together and seeing the kids get excited about all of the fun things they learned at the station. We even watched a sweet Sesame Street video about fire safety.
The last time Grace went to the fire station was on Alexa's first preschool field trip and she was just tiny. I am holding her in the background....It was so much fun seeing how much she has changed.
The firemen thought it would be a good idea if the moms wore hats and got in the picture as well.
Being able to sit in the fire truck was the highlight of the trip of course. I am so happy that we were able to go and watch Gracie experience all of these fun things for the first time.
